Spontaneous Fluctuations of Transition Dipole Moment Orientation in OLED Triplet Emitters.
The efficiency of an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) depends on the microscopic orientation of transition dipole moments of the molecular emitters. The most effective materials used for light generation have 3-fold symmetry, which prohibits a priori determination of dipole orientation due to the degeneracy of the fundamental transition. Single-molecule spectroscopy reveals that the model tr...
متن کاملTriplet Emitters for OLED Applications. Mechanisms of Exciton Trapping and Control of Emission Properties
Triplet emitter materials present attractive possibilities for optimizations of organic/organometallic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). This is due to the significantly higher efficiencies obtainable with these compounds as compared to organic emitters. In this contribution, first a schematic introduction is given, how an OLED device is built-up and why multi-layer structures are preferred. Then ...
متن کاملMeasurement of absolute transition dipole moment functions
We describe a two-laser experiment using optical-optical double resonance fluorescence and Autler– Townes AT splittings to determine the NaK 3 1 →1 X 1 +, 2 A 1 + absolute transition dipole moment functions. Resolved 3 1 →A 1 + and 3 1 →X 1 + fluorescence was recorded with the frequencies of a titanium-sapphire laser L1 and a ring dye laser L2 fixed to excite particular 3 1 =19,J=11, f ←A 1 + ,...
متن کاملCorrelating the transition dipole moment orientation of phosphorescent emitter molecules in OLEDs with basic material properties
The orientation of the emissive dipole moment of seven iridium-based phosphorescent emitter molecules commonly used in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) is investigated. The orientation of Ir(ppy)3, Ir(ppy)2(acac), Ir(chpy)3, Ir(dhfpy)2(acac), Ir(BT)2(acac), Ir(MDQ)2(acac), and Ir(piq)3 is determined by measuring the angle dependent spectral radiant intensity of the transverse magnetic pola...
متن کاملTransition Radiation of the Neutrino Toroid Dipole Moment
We discuss the transition radiation of a neutrino induced by its toroid dipole moment (τ) when crossing the interface between two different media with different refraction indices. A neutrino of 1 MeV energy emits approximately 10−40 keV at τ = e √ 2GF /π 2. This effect depends very slightly on the neutrino mass and has a finite value in the massless limit.
